What the QES is
The qualified electronic signature is the highest level of electronic signature in Switzerland. Under ZertES (the Federal Act on Electronic Signatures), it is equivalent to a translation with stamp and signature, and the signature can be verified via the federal government’s validation portal. So you receive a fully certified document – just in digital form.
Why it pays off
The biggest advantage is speed: in urgent cases we deliver translations with QES within 12 hours – order and receive by email, around the clock, with no postal delivery. Ideal when a deadline is looming or the receiving authority accepts documents digitally anyway. The signature can be verified online at any time via the federal validation portal: validator.admin.ch. You can always order the paper version in addition.
When paper is the better choice
Not every office works digitally yet. If your receiving authority requires a physical document, we deliver the classic way, with office certification or notarisation, by post. Just tell us where you are submitting – we will recommend the right form.
